Woljeongsa Temple was established by Monk Ja Jang (590-658). It is also the site of Seongbo Museum, displaying artifacts and treasures from Buddhist culture of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392).
Jeonggangwon is a tourism complex consisting of hanok, modern accommodation facilities, a Korean restaurant, a food museum, gardens, and an animal farm among its many facilities.

Alpensia Ski Jumping Center is the stadium hosted the ski jumping and the nordic combined events at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Gangneung Olympic Parkis a sports complex area in Gyo-dong, Gangneung, which will be the location of four of the venues of the 2018 Olympic Games. It will serve as the Olympic Park.
Gyeongpoho Lake, which means “clear as a mirror”, was formed when the mouth of a bay was closed by sand and pebbles brought in by the sea currents. It is famous as a destination site for migratory birds.
Ojukheon House was built during the early Joseon Dynasty and remains one of the oldest wooden residential buildings in Korea. It was designated as Treasure No. 165 in 1963 and has been maintained by the descendants throughout the generations.
Anmok Beach is often packed with families on a vacation. Right in front of the beach is Anmok Port, where around 23 fishing boats can be moored to unload their catch of seaweed in the spring; flatfish, squid, octopus in the summer; and sailfin sandfish, and pollack in the fall and winter. The place has also gotten more popular because of the cafe street that sells coffee at reasonable prices.

Seoraksan Mountain is one of the most beautiful mountains in Korea, boasting a variety of colorful flowers in spring, refreshing clear water streams in summer, vibrant autumn foliages in fall, and a scenic snow-covered landscape in winter.
Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market was opened in 1982, Fishery items and hoetjip (raw fish restaurants) are located on the basement level, and general whole sales and retail sales are available on the first and second floors. In addition, many of Sokcho's famous snacks like dak-gangjeong (sweet and sour chicken) are found at many of the stalls inside the market.

Jeongdongjin Rail Bike is one of the must-try experiences when you are traveling in Gangwon-do. Departing from Jeongdongjin Station, ride on the rail bike and feel the fresh air from the sea that is just alongside the railway tracks.
